Voices for Children hosts an advocacy workshop presented by The Pennsylvania Health Access Network.

This virtual presentation on systems advocacy will increase your understanding of how to participate in legislative advocacy as a non-profit. You will be able to describe why advocacy is necessary to social justice movements, identify when to take on advocacy work, apply IRS lobbying regulations, and acquire strategies to engage community members as stakeholders.

Jennifer Wolff, a Policy Analyst who joined PHAN in 2019, focuses on health equity campaigns. Prior to this role, she worked at Mental Health Partnerships, advocating for a more responsive mental and behavioral health system. Jennifer is passionate about health equity and addressing the social determinants of health through healthcare reform.

Jessica Foster, a Community Engagement Coordinator with PHAN, studied International Studies & Spanish at the University of Evansville, followed by grad work in Globalization & Development Studies at Maastricht University. This led to opportunities to learn more about different cultures while engaging with people from around the world, and an internship with a non-profit dedicated to outreach for the Hispanic population.
